Kevin Estela

Kevin Estela spent 14 years as a public school history teacher in an urban district before branching out into the private sector becoming a highly-sought after trainer in the survival and defensive space. He established a reputation as a subject matter expert and traveled the country to provide instruction in bushcraft, land navigation, and firearms. In addition to in-person training, Estela hosted a podcast and was a guest on others across multiple platforms.  Estela has been an outdoor educator for over two decades and is a prolific writer with a best-selling book and hundreds of magazine articles. He has trained at elite firearms training facilities and spent years studying Filipino martial arts, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and various martial arts. Estela is the Founder of the Estela Wilderness Education Fund which is a permanent endowment fund established to provide summer camp program tuition for underprivileged youth. Estela graduated from Fairfield University with his B.A. and Trinity College with his M.A. in American Studies before attending the University of Bridgeport for his C.A.S. and teaching certification in Secondary Education. In his free time, Estela enjoys traveling, cooking, and hunting/fishing.
