Rick Lofton
Rick Lofton served over 25 years in the U.S. Army, retiring as a Sergeant Major. Rick began his military career in the 82nd Airborne Division at Ft. Liberty (formerly Ft. Bragg), NC. Shortly after this first assignment, Rick’s ambition took over and he volunteered to become a “Green Beret” in the U.S. Special Forces. After a rigorous two-year training regime, Rick served as a combat diver for two years with the 1st Special Forces Group at Ft. Lewis, WA. Rick again “elevated the bar,” volunteering to become a member of the elite Special Missions Unit (SMU) at Ft. Liberty, where he remained for the next sixteen years and culminated his military career.
Rick leverages vast combat experience, with a total of 49 months of combat deployments between Iraq and Afghanistan including over 450 combat assaults and three real-world hostage rescue missions. Rick held several positions in the SMU to include Assault Team Leader, Sniper Team member, Operator Training Course (OTC) Instructor, and Operations Training Sergeant Major. He lives in Southern Pines NC, enjoying his retirement and sharing his experience and expertise as an instructor.
